Check Out What Happened To My Ipod Screen
I dropped my Ipod a short distance the other day. Here’s the result:

Watching Mythbusters
So as you can see it’s a little bit annoying. Normally I wouldn’t really care, but now that I’m using my Ipod for podcasts, vodcasts and video, I actually need to look at the screen. Given that I’ll be traveling to Canada for about half a year, I need something with video for long trips.
So what should I do? I can think of 3 options:
- Get another Ipod - but that would be boring
- Get an Ipod Touch - very nice, sexy, bigger screen but low on memory space
- Get an Iphone - this means I only need to carry one gadget around, but the lack of a physical number pad bugs me.
Any opinions?

i think you should get the ipod classic because you have so much crap in your ipod the other 2 won’t be enough for you.
i’d suggest getting a dedicated video player such as the ipod classic. though the bigger screen of the itouch and iphone is rather tempting…
interesting predicament.. you might have to settle for more memory but a smaller (yet decent) screen. I watch The Sopranos on my ipod classic, haven’t developed squints.. yet.
Yea you should just get an iPod Classic..hahaha. Gawd that crack on the screen reminds me of the time when my friend broke his Nano into 2.
@fiancee: Yeah I’m not. But between 2 gadgets in my pocket that do roughly the same thing, I might just get one!
@brian: Yes 2.5 inches vs 3.5 inches can make quite a difference. Especially for long flights! I watch quite a lot of tv on my ipod, no squint either. Yet.
@YuHui: thank for dropping by!!! Why Classic? The touch is sexier! It’s not really a crack, it’s more like an LCD display problem
heh bro.. just get the 32gb ipod touch lah.. nothing beats watching stuff on that screen.. unless of course your ipod functions as a portable external hard drive then.. guess u gotta settle for the ipod classic.. but there’s SO MUCH other crap you can do with the ipod touch as well

the shittiest thing is to have to CHOOSE what to upload when you don’t have enough gb for everything. so i would say go for ipod classic. and yes the no numerical pad thing bugs me too. if your screen goes, there goes your whole phoneeee.
