Photowalk: Kingston, Ontario

Photowalk: Kingston, Ontario

I took a photowalk last week. It was a nice, crisp Friday morning after class. The pictures are of those immediately around my neighbourhood and school.

Music Mondays II: Metro Station

Unless you’ve not switched on the radio or tuned into MTV this entire summer, you’d probably be very familiar with the highly infectious hit “Shake It” by Metro Station. I was, and actually picked up the cd in Kingston (for all of $11) and was hooked on the album literally within the first two listens.
What [...]

Queen’s University: The Mad Street Party That Is Homecoming Weekend

I was expecting a crazy time, but this really blew my mind. Cops everywhere (just for safety, no one was hurt as far as I could tell), people on the roofs, alcohol everywhere and generally intoxicated people all over the streets. Watch the videos!

My Thoughts On JJ Abram’s “Fringe”

My Thoughts On JJ Abram's

Three episodes in, I think it’s a good time to check in on Fringe, the latest work from JJ Abrams (creator of both Lost and Alias, who is also working on the next Star Trek film).
I had a set of thoughts for the first episode, and the second, and again they are mirrored in the [...]

Thoughts On Heroes: Season 3

After the disappointment that was season two of Heroes, I had hoped that they’d bounce back, and it seems like they did.
First, I love how practically everyone who’s been someone in the show has returned, (Elle, Adam Monroe, Linderman, Kaito Nakamura) and that Mama Petrelli and Ando are now regulars!
I’m not going to talk about [...]

Weekly Review: September 22

Last week’s Weekly Review (WR) worked pretty well for me, but not perfectly, which was to be expected for the first time.
Reviewing last week’s goals:

Baking – done successfully
Clearing bookmarks – transferred to this week
Reading 1 chapter a day – succeeded (more or less)
Academic stuff – done

On to the reviews
1) Expenses review

Music Mondays I: 2008 Video Music Awards Review

I’ve never really added a “themed” kind of blog post to my blog, but I’m going to start with Music Mondays, at least for the next couple of months just to see how things are going. I have so many passions it was hard to decide which to go with!
The 2008 Video Music Awards (VMAs) [...]

Montreal: My Room & My Shopping

It’s in a good location (relative to Podcamp Montreal’s venue) and is clean. Check out the inside! (and what I bought).

What I Really Love About Kingston

Kingston, as I have mentioned before, is a really small place. We kinda have one downtown and another mall about half an hour away and that’s about it. One cinema in the immediate area.
But therein lies its’ charm. People who have been to/know about Singapore ask me if I like it here, and more often [...]
