Can I Never Escape The SMU-type School?
If it’s not readily apparent by all the blog posts, pictures and videos I’ve been sharing, I love Queen’s and I love Kingston. But like Terence, Queen’s is turning out to be uncannily like SMU! From the class participation to the almost-weekly deadlines to the group work to people studying in the library from the 2nd day of school. This is supposed to be a holiday!
To make things worse, almost everyone except us needs to transfer back courses. That means their grades are counted ie they have to study. It’s quite weird being in class and trying to suppress the inner SMU/Asian kid in me that says “FIND A WAY TO SCORE IN THIS CLASS!”.
For now, the “exchange student” in me is winning. But I’m not sure how long….
