Music Mondays 56: The Carpenters – The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasing On An Open Fire)
When I was young (not all that long ago) the one CD that was in the car year in year out was the Carpenters Christmas album (a tradition that continues to this day) so I thought we’d end off the year with a final Christmas-themed Music Monday with a song from what I feel is one of the best musical acts of all times – The Carpenters:
Trivia:
- The Christmas Song was first performed by Nat King Cole in 1946
- It has since been covered by more than 150 other artists including Michael Buble, New Found Glory, Owl City and Weezer
