So apparently Orianthi is a 25 year old Aussie girl who was handpicked by Michael Jackson to be his lead guitarist for his comeback. She’s also got this catchy song called “According To You“:

Yet another one of those “heard once on the radio” songs, this is Sara Bareilles of “Love Song” and “Gravity” fame with her new track “King of Anything”. I really like the way the song starts distinctly in a “listen to me!” way, and the song doesn’t disappoint.

Yet another music video where the video possibly outshines the music! Then again, it’s OK Go of the treadmill music video fame, so why would we expect anything less!

Read this off shadeofmelon’s blog last week and thought it’s a great song. Never heard her stuff before but she’s pretty quickly grown on me. She’s got the lyrics of Jason Mraz while sounding a little like Rachael Yamagata. The rest of the album is pretty damn good too.

This song got featured on the Celebrity Apprentice and you gotta say the girl has a pretty good voice and excellent lyrics. Country isn’t usually my thing, but give it a listen.
