Stuff I Read In 2009

I did pretty well in 2009 with 28 books and 93 graphic novels.
Best book of the year was hands down Rant by Chuck Palahniuk, other worthy mentions include Death Star, the Horus Heresy, the Star Wars Legacy series and The Dip by Seth Godin.
On the graphic novel front, Avengers: The Initiative is a great book, [...]

Graphic Novel Haul (Part 1)

So Kinokuniya is having another 20% members-only sale, and that means money flies out of my wallet like there’s no tomorrow because I’ve stopped buying comics in single issue format, and buy the collected editions (graphic novels) instead. Here’s a quick overview of four of the nine graphic novels (GNs) I bought tonight:

Packing My Stuff From Amazon

Since coming to Kingston, Amazon has consistently impressed me, leading to increased purchases from them.

With these words I first entered the first book of Stephen King’s Dark Tower series, The Gunslinger. I picked it up last year partially because I knew Marvel was doing a graphic novel and partially because apparently a lot of the Lost mythology is [...]

What Would Batman Twitter?

It’s no secret I’m a crazy fan of Twitter (@uniquefrequency) and I’m also a huge comic book fan. So I was extremely amused to chance upon this post:What Would Batman Twitter this afternoon, in response to the original question posted by Great White Snark.
So here are my 3 contributions:

“JLA Watchtower duty again”
“@Boywonder why are you [...]

Overwhelmed By A Desire To Consume Media

You ever find yourself in a situation where you’re caught up in wanting to keep up with something, that you get overwhelmed? In my attempt to consume as much media as possible, I have:

Easily 20 seasons of shows (that’s 400 hours of TV) to watch.
60 books unread
40 graphic novels unread
Easily 500 feeds a day and [...]
