Been a really long time since I did one of these YouTube artists, but I just happened to stumble upon Lisa Scinta’s rendition of Whatcha Say by Jason Derulo which samples Hide And Seek by the very talented Imogen Heap, I think this song captures both Whatcha Say and Hide and Seek perfectly, and her [...]
Technically not music, but it does have Mp3 in the title. I thought I’d share a powerful demonstration of what happens when audio plugged in to a crowd:
So while I think Jordin Sparks could lose some weight, that girl can really sing! Case in point: live version of Battlefield with the Jonas Brothers (who don’t really do anything throughout the performance…)
37 weeks into Music Mondays and this has got to be my favourite one yet. If you haven’t already, the first thing you need to do is watch this awesome video. If you’ve already watched it, watch it again!
This is what everyone and anyone who loves music wants to see. Two people dancing to a [...]
There have been quite a few editions of Music Mondays where I hear the song once while I’m driving and really like it but have no way of knowing what song it is. Especially if the DJ doesn’t mention the title or the artist. This used to be a big problem, but not anymore.

I missed our 7th month anniversary together because I was in Hong Kong, so here’s a song for the girlfriend. Originally done by Lionel Ritchie (I think), but I’ve opted to go with a more modern rendition by Jason Mraz (actually, more acurately it’s by Toca, but Jason’s in it as well):
I’m stuck on [...]

I watched the actual video for the first time tonight, and while [...]
Yet another hattip to the girlfriend for recommending that I check out various videos from the UC Men’s Octet. I”m not a fan of choir performances, but when they’re done differently, as it has been here, it can really add a totally new dimension to a song.
The best part is that this video is nearly [...]
Full credit to the girlfriend for referring this video to me. I’m not as hot on the song as I am on the choreography, musical collaboration and the technology involved such as the camera and the lights. The video claims this was all taken and recorded in one take, and if it was, it’s pretty [...]
So I really don’t know what to make of David Archuleta. Despite the terrible “popness” of his music, they’re catchy and the guy can sing.
Case in point? “Touch My Hand”
For the most part, the song is pretty good, except for the chorus, which is cheesy as hell:
Trying to reach out to you, touch my hand
Reach [...]
