After three quieter, character building episodes in “House of the Rising Sun“, “The Moth” and “Confidence Man“, “Solitary” ups the ante by introducing key elements that would continue throughout the season, as well as the series.
Let’s start with the lighter stuff first.

Ah “The Moth“, a Charlie-centric episode that would both reveal his tragic origins and start him on his redemption path by kicking his druggie habit, a path that would pay off two seasons later. A great episode of LOST that is symbolic, moving and slightly cheesy at the same time.

After two rather intense episodes in “Walkabout” and “White Rabbit” the focus of “House of the Rising Sun” tightens back on the characters for a bit, fittingly with yet another fist fight between Jin and Michael.
